I guess I wasn't looking at the dates of the reponses too well.
Yes I have seen photos of the Humber, and a beautiful job too. I started researching Humbers years ago for modelling purposes, Scale Link have a 1/24th kit that I made the master pattern for. IWM has some 1/10 models of all the Humbers, made by their apprentices, and very nice models they are too, with rubber Dunlop tyres. Unfortunately a lot of my earlier reference material went walkies, though I still have enough, and since then, Bovington turned up a 2 1/4" square photo of the plate drawings. A bit hazy, but you can make some details out. All you guys out there are very knowledable, and I am always looking for details of British wheeled AFV's, and softskins. My main interest is early war and BEF, though I have done a lot on carriers, thanks again to this site. The re-build shots were useful as I am making master patterns for detailing the engine bay for a company called Resicast. These are intended to detail the Tamiya UC kit. Thanks again, though not always acknowledged, this site is very useful to the modelling fraternity. George Moore |
