Default I wonder about the scarf

I wonder if the stripped thing on the door is an old school scarf.

I agree that this shows what the vehicles really looked like in service. That whole issue of vehicles being restored to better than delivered from the factory became a real issue in the antique military vehicle judging at shows. One of the reasons that the local club I belong to NEVER has judged events too many problems and too much hard feelings.
