WANTED: dipstick for a Chevy C8

If you have a early C8 , the engine will have 1940 civilian type set up , e.g., dip stick in block . The sumps varied somewhat , depending on date , model of truck etc. The Chev. major assemblies catalogue ( well worth getting from Alex B. ) , gives a run down on the different types of sump they used.
