Default It's all gone now

Filming lasted for 4 days [21 to 24 August] and everything in Redcar is just about back the way it was. Great shame really - it looked much better as a film set and building the set was very interesting to observe. There were about 1000 local extras recruited (I couldn't get off work ) and many of them have put photos on the web - those linked by Hano are the best I've seen so far.
My photos of the vehicles are at : http://community.webshots.com/user/NoelBurgess

The replica MCC pickups all seemed to be able to roll and had steering and were mostly made from plywood with some sheet metal on the front end. There were also to replica "french" lorries but everything else seemed to be the real thing as far as I could see. I believe some (3.7AA, searchlight & generator, Matador and more) came from Newcastle Vehicle Museum - WWW.military-museum.org.uk

Dunkirk is only one episode in the film and I get the impression it will involve 15 to 20 min. of the film - the rest not involving a military theme
