I have 2 1940 cab 11 C8s and neither has any extra holes in the front fenders for side markers or wiring tubes. One of them has a flatiron bracket bolted on with the fender bolts outboard of the headlights. I'm not sure what they're for. The headlight wires are routed between the fender and the fender brace so aren't exposed in the wheel well.
My 1943 HUP has the marker lights.
