Default Maritimes: Will Trade Car for CMP Parts/Tires

Fellow Down-Homers:

I have a 1969 Buick LeSabre that I need to sell or trade. I intended on restoring the old beast, but it is located down east, and I slave away here in Upper Canada.

The car ran when last parked (have we not all heard that one before). The rubber is OK, the engine runs, the upholstery is very old (interior needs replacement) and the paint is as one would expect for an older car.

I will sell the car to a MLUer or friend of MLU for $500.00 as is, where is, without safety. Movement of the car would be your responsibility.

I will trade the car for four good condition 9.00x16 Brit Trak Grips, or four good condition 9.00 x 16 bar treads. I am also looking for a rear box for a 43 F-15. All is open for negotiation.

The car is located in Scotsburn (near Pictou NS). If you require further details PM me. I will be in NS the week of 21 August, so if you want to see the car, or just talk about CMP stuff, PM me and I will provide a contact phone number.

Reason for ditching the car: Mom in law wants it out of her sight...and it will cost too much to drive to Ontario.

Grrr...

I'd give away my first born for 4 Dyna Trak 9:00 x 16s.

Maybe I'm only joking...?...

To clarify, I'm looking for display tires - not necessarily fit for the highway....

As for highway use, a set of four used Michelin LXs would be a nice trade...

I think you are - it's easy to say you'd trade your first born for something that does not exist...watch out when you offer to trade him/her for a set of Dunlop Trak Grips

OK, Hanno...you got me!

I stand corrected. In my eagerness to post, I misquoted the tyre type...of course it's Dunlop Trak Grip to which I refer.

Rumplestiltskin: the deal's off.

There's a fellow here in western Quebec (st. Lazarre) that is sitting on a ton of Michelin XL tires of all sizes. I got 4 used 9.00/16 for a really good price. I have them on the ferret. I used trailer tubes that were around the same size, though they were metric. If you e-mail me, I'll send you his e-mail. He had some NDT's last year, I haven't the foggiest if he still has them. I still have the original run flat Dunlops, but the sidewalls are cracked. Let me know if you are interested in them, I'll send some pics. I am not planning on using them again.

I hope I am of some help
Dan

Dan,

I have had the pleasure of touring the south of Wales with a wonderful stay at Tenby.

I got your PM. Enjoy the trip!
