You're right and it is an ambulance as supplied early war to the RAAF, and in fairly original shape too. The guards are correct, but the body has been reclad as the original was canvas-skinned. There was also a window on each side of the body and lower lockers. Be a good project for someone. Here's a pic of one I took at Point Cook around 1973. They may still have it. ![]()
