Pete, thanks for that...it makes sense as the '36 WD Trails Report mentions the Leyland Retriever...the other Leyland was that 'Cub' 6 x 4 demonstrator, of which we now have two photos.

Thanks also for the referebce to the Guy Ant. It certainly looks different from the early Ant that I have a photo of. Further, no mention was made of the 'pilot' Ant in the '36 Report. However it clearly is on the Trials as it has the running number. The Report mentions the rad being moved up six inches, etc. to create the Ant Series II...this must be the classic cab design that of course arguably begat the CMP cab. If this is indeed the pilot Ant, then it is a mystery as to how it was not mentioned as being in the '36 Trials and also not referred to in COMMERCIAL MOTOR September 25th 1936 which indicentally did not mention the Retriever either! So, that's nothing to go by.
