| When you first got it!

OK lets see what AFV looked like when you 1st got it... To get the ball rolling he is my fairly complete M3 Hybrid with a M3A1 bath tub and British Universal Carrier bath tub. The Stuarts had just traveled 1000klm from Sydney and the Carrier a further 800klm from Victoria. The M3 had 1st come from near Perth in WA on the other side of the country. So it is well traveled. (source) Although it had to be transported over 650km only, we did pass through four countries! It looked terrible, but was good enough to restore as a plinth vehicle - it could even have been restored as a runner. Although I did get it transferred into my name on paper, this was done only so I could go ahead and restore it to serve as a memorial for the 1st Canadian Armoured Carrier Regiment. Hanno

Here's a pic of my Portee taken 2 yrs ago, it had sat under a lean to for 15 years and was in a pretty sad state. Amazing what heaps of blood, heaps of sweat, heaps of time and heaps of money can do, I feel a bit sick now .
