Default With oil filters....

Nice to see that both blocks are fitted with oil lines to a filter.....

When you get a chance.... check the serial numbers on the cylinder heads...... casting serial numbers that end with XXXX848 are very desirable heads.... usually found on 235 and will fit on a 261..... if the 261 has the 848 head it is a sign that it may have been rebuilt at one time.....

*848 heads will give slightly better compression and breathing but they will need to be drilled of rhte steam holes.... the 261 head gasket serves as a template for drilling the four holes in pairs of two.

Quite the find Phil as you have all the parts and pieces from fan to bellhousing...... don't forget to use the 261 flywheel and clutch as you will have more torque and they fit perfectly inside the 216CMP bellhousing....... you m ight even be tempted to use the modern tranny with full synchros...... but.... the modern tranny is longer and would require fitting......

Now you will just need to build another test stand if you want to try them out.......

Nice to have an understanding wife..... so tell us what are you going to buy her for Valentine to stay on her good side...
