Your description sounds like Colin Jones who was routinely manufacturing parts for some Vickers MK6B tanks. The posts stopped just after an amazing amount of headway was made and things were looking like tanks again. It was a real shame that the posts stopped. Colin's level of craftsmanship was truly phenomenal.
