oil filter part numbers

Hi John

thanks for that, would that number be the filter for the large canister on the cylinder head as with later trucks or what appears to be the smaller one in the chassis on eariler models? I'm looking for an id on both.
I am also interested to hear if there is any expericnce of very early trucks with no oil filter at all? I have a 1940 c8 11 cab that has never been restored, has its original engine etc, but has no oil filter at all!! With me it only does a few hundred miles a year and gets regular oil change so I've always assumed that was ok... but things would have been different in its earlier life!
