South Melbourne scene, looks like the Montague Street Bridge: Truck on the left C6668 is a D300 Forward Control International - I found a small number of these trucks in the AWM126 ledgers, they were issued to army units based in and around Melbourne - Coburg, Geelong and a few other suburbs. Dodge with a gas producer. Victorian Railways are still using the Irish 5 feet 3 inch broad gauge. Other Australian states are a mixture of 3 feet 6 inch and Standard gauge.

US army Chevrolet G506 trucks and a Right Hand Drive 1942 Studebaker sedan with US reg. This Studebaker sedan is a real oddity with the USA 156 reg. number. The flat railway cars have the Victorian Railways (VR) logo on the axle box lids.

Victorian Railways: 1939 Chev. utility with gas producer. The front tyre has the letters 'VR' on the sidewall, a anti-theft measure. OLYMPIC brand tyres were still in production until around 20 years ago. https://collections.museumsvictoria..../articles/6210
