And it would seem all these relics have been left out in the weather since arriving at Lloyds. And that has been several months now.

I see leather straps and muzzle caps, hemp rope, card/pulp boxes, canvas cover, rubber eyepieces, sights, firing mechanisms, bare steel.

How's the weather in Melbourne, wet?

Been very wet the last few months with a blast of Winter conditions occurring recently. Forecast is for more heavy rain later this week.

And guess what is happening Now! , Oh look , there is a Big on-line Auction, in 10 parts at this stage, with over a 1000 lots....lets buy! , only 30 days to go!

Hanno can probably put the link up, I never did work that one out?

Some of the item descriptions are amusing.

I will be interested to see what happens when the scrap metal auction and the Staghound auction finish and the photos are identical. The entire auction collection seems to have been temporarily pulled once already.

Appalling is a more appropriate description, methinks…

Also, going to the landing page, not all lots are shown. As far as I can see there are 1,003 in all, but “view auction lots” (https://www.lloydsonline.com.au/Auct...&pgn=1&pgs=100) only seems to show 64?

Default What a shame

It’s always a shame to see a fellow enthusiast’s lifetime collection broken up and sold off, but so much sadder that the auctioneers didn’t seem to even bother having many of the lots correctly identified.

Whoever is currently bidding on the scrap metal lot is in for a hell of a shock when they find out they are only getting the steel on the pallet and not the Staghound in the pics 😳

RIP Rod

Good luck bidders

Hanno: Go to all auctions, then look towards the bottom and there are 10 packages of auctions related to this estate. Some are over 500 items, some are less.
