Indeed Ford GP jeeps were delivered to the Netherlands East Indies. The Japanese Army used captured GPs, some of which were recaptured by Dutch troops returning in 1945.
A number was diverted to the West Indies after the fall of the East Indies. I don't know the exact numbers, various sources state numbers ranging from dozens up to 700.
