Easily imported; yes. It's the export thing from the US side thats hard. They are no longer entertaining the export of 50 cal (and larger) rifles, barrels, barrel blanks, ammunition components, other than to military museums, police agencies, and military users.
And there is a bill now before the US house of representatives to stop civilian ownership of 50cal sniping rifles even in the US, so the days of the 50 cal shooting may soon be over down there. California already banned the sale/transfer of 50s, and you know it will only get worse.
Here in Canada the Boyes is a non-restricted bolt action rifle, and there is no current talk of banning them, ( our current levels of gun control are still having PR and acceptance issues) although when certain models of the Barrets and Mcmillan 50s got banned 10 years ago, I think the liberals figure they got all the big ones and are content in their little nest of safety
