Yes, I'd say so David.

I guess this is one of the Dutch Army vehicles which were brought over to England in 1940.

It could just be soap suds, Hanno, but it almost looks like an ‘8’ inside a ‘V’ logo at the centre of that hub cap being cleaned.

David, well spotted. That's an ‘8’ inside a ‘V’ logo!

bonnet (hood) side looks like a 1937/38 Ford V8 one.

Thanks Cliff - I guess this is one of the vehicles the Dutch Army took with them when they evacuated to the UK in May 1940

Hanno.

How did the evacuation unfold? My thought would be a direct evacuation by sea from Holland would have been rather risky, but overland through France as far west as practical, much less so.
