It could just be soap suds, Hanno, but it almost looks like an ‘8’ inside a ‘V’ logo at the centre of that hub cap being cleaned.

Thanks Cliff - I guess this is one of the vehicles the Dutch Army took with them when they evacuated to the UK in May 1940

How did the evacuation unfold? My thought would be a direct evacuation by sea from Holland would have been rather risky, but overland through France as far west as practical, much less so. David |
