Thanks Bruce and David. The new connector is on the way. I have plenty of the correct tape. As a bomb tech, I’ve used it extensively. I’ve sourced the cotton thread. I’ll get the varnish. A Ham friend of mine near Tinker AFB just to the south of me has the correct mesh shielding.

I need two other things if you can assist. I need a schematic or similar to show me which wire goes in which end of the plug, and the length of the power wire itself.

Hi James.

15 inches between the back of the plug and the entry hole into the dog bone.

Add 3 inches at the dog bone and an inch at the plug for wiring in, and you are good to go.

Me Again, James.

Your plug will have three sockets: two parallel and the third perpendicular to them.

Orient the plug so the two parallel sockets are at the top.

- Top socket is a red lead with a black tracer. It runs to Pin 6 on the dog bone.

- Middle socket is a black lead. It runs to Pin 1.

- Lower socket is a brown lead. It runs to Pin 3.

In the dog bone, the wiring should be:

- Pin 1: Black, Negative Ground.
- Pin 3: Red, +12 Heaters.
- Pin 6: Red with yellow tracer, +275 volt HT2

I suspect the stub of the original cable is still in your 6-pin, so that should help you as well, if it is.
