Hello Lynn,

You're absolutely right, the box does read CTL 1243/A. Thanks for the pictures. I'll have a search for the thread you refer to. The amount of information on this forum is brilliant, I've been building up a library of pictures and drawings of all the parts I need to make.

If you have any spare of the Driver's grenade box I would be happy to take one of your hands , as I'm missing the Driver's grenade box.

Perhaps the undrilled boxes were a way of simplifying the manufacture process so they didn't need to make two types of boxes and left the drilling and fitting to the REME, particularly if the boxes fitted other vehicles?
