Alex thank you. Gives me something I can look up here on MLU now
![]() Keith, interesting photos. They would all appear to be either post-war or very, very near the end of the war. There's been times for units to add their flash to the trucks, civilians children are milling about and the one library truck is clearly a Clubmobile body. Wonder if those were turned out for other purposes, such as this or if it was converted from aa Clubmobile. Matt |

Plenty of these American imports were found in many roles in WW2 such as this Ford based canteen

Les, I like that second picture a lot. Where was that taken? I'd really like to see the second vehicle and trailer more. But that probably won't happen.

No info on the location, it states vehicles donated by the Garden club of Palm Beach Florida and the vehicles are patronising troops at a convalescent home in the UK

Very nice pics, thanks.
Here is one more of the Bedford. Looking at the houses in the background, this seems to be a picture taken in actual use, delivering food and hot drinks to comfort the population. 4362832381_74cdeecf3e_o.jpg Source: https://flic.kr/p/7DwE4X

Photo from British Women Go To War by J.R. Priestley undated but appears to be early in war due to type of equipment illustrated. It has 49 colour plates. Heres one for this thread.

"Mrs Jacob pauses beside her van for a photograph with a group of children who are helping her to carry food from the van into their school. Mrs Jacob is the Central Organiser for Birkenhead Women's Voluntary Service and carries a box of bread. The Ministry of Food van was presented by the people of Malta. It appears to be raining."
