Sorry to hijacking this LP thead, but would be any owner of british made carrier so kind and measure for me the basic dimensions of the dataplate on his carrier?
Im not sure if its differ during the production or not. Many thanks in advance

Hi Petr, What are you asking? Do you want the dimensions of an earlier British plate? I believe they were all the same as the one you posted unless you are going back to pre universal plates which were bigger and carried more data.

Hi Lynn, not the earlier, but universal carrier plates preferably. I guess too that they were the same size as this mortar one, but cant prove it.

I have an original early Mk1 Mortar Carrier plate I can measure still attached to its original Fender

Hi Petr, The rectangle is 192mm long by 48mm wide. The holes are 5.7mm dia.
The length over the lugs, is 207mm. The boarder is about 9.7mm wide,on the sides and about 6.8mm at the ends and the letters are about 8.7mm high. The stamped T number digits are about 5.7mm high. This is from a British 3 inch Mortar carrier. War Department number T80908. (Wolseley)
The letters vary in width with the "M" being 10mm wide and the "R" is only 7mm wide.
There are no extra stampings on my plate like the plate you posted. (No No1 MkII or WT)
