Pretty sure there were two or three different types . 1 sided clam and double sided clam type. The one I have has a back and wheel dimple

Thanks for the tyre carrier picture Andrew. That carrier looks shorter than mine, I like the design of the fixed end, that has some character. I will use that design for mine when I make it.
