Default 1st Canadian Roo Hat Badge on eBay

And what is your point ? The original reason for posting this add on MLU was to give interested fellow members a heads up no other reason if I get it fine if not it will go to a good home.

By posting to “help” you only drive up the price on yourself. Now others are drawn to it and more people bid on it. Great if you are selling but sucks if you are trying to buy an item that was in this case not identified well.

I’m not the only one on here who gets frustrated by these types of posts. It only hurts us with higher prices.

The badge on the lower left is actually the lower half of a 15th Light Horse cap badge, it is supposed to represent the head of an antelope, with the horns and crown broken off.

Default 1st Canadian

I also noticed that the 51 SOO badge has a slider there is probably more questionable badges there. What is your thought on the Roo badge?

It looks good but I'm not up on how good forgeries have become. The obvious thing to look out for is the badges that have a slightly different 'roo', a copperish tone and, the big give away, a round "O" in ARMATOS" instead of the original oval one.

Attached is pic of an original on the left and the 'copperish' round O one on the right. I'll let you compare the details on the original to the ebay one.
