Vicki and I have to say a big thank you to Robert Morrison for taking us out to dinner last night and driving us all around the sites today. Your company and banter were greatly appreciated.

I am happy to report that Robert and Vicki's trip to here has been relatively uneventful. The missed the snowstorms that are supposed to hit Alberta by mere days, and are now in sunny Manitoba. I picked them up at 0900 this AM, and took them through the museum workshop, the museum, and the dustbowl. After a quick stop at the Shilo inn, we finished with the tour of my meager collection, and they are now back in Brandon. Vicki was a trooper.....often after a few hours the wives seem to lag behind or get grumpy. Robert, you have yourself a keeper.

Best of luck and safe journey to both as they head on thru Ontario. Watch for those cows on stilts we call Moose.

After two days of driving we are now in Longlac for the night. We plan on three short drives next and spending three full days in the Hammond area to catch our breath.

Longlac is where I usually call it a night. I kind of thought that if you made Dryden the first night, Thunder Bay would not be a long enough drive.
However you are now in for a bit of a boring roadway for the next bunch of hours. That stretch is not particularly scenic. You will find a few military pieces (C1 howitzer, a M113A2, and an M109A4+) when you pass through Heard.
