Interesting to note in most of the photos that while the original lighting consisted of one Blackout headlight, but when replaced, it seems that 2 non-standard headlights were fitted.

It seems most of these early CMP vans ended up in USAF use, so maybe the US had other requirements and fitted US style lights as they were easier for them to "order"?

We have discussed this picture on the forum before....when I thought the truck on the right might be an 8cwt, but it wasn't.....just a 15CWT. But what about the van on the left? Could this be one of the early Ford Heavy Utilities???

Here’s one in post war Holland, towing a huge horse box trailer! I wonder how long it lasted before it got in trouble.

There is an F8 HU in the photo below too. Alex noted it is a different one than the one in the above photo.

Another photo to add to the file. It is used to carry cylinders with “breathing oxygen” - note the writing on the side. Interesting to see it being used in a technical support role rather than a personnel carrier.
