I think you are right. Note also that the filter powder filling port (the small pipe on the side of the main body) comes out at a 45-degree angle on the postwar filter. The wartime filter has a 90-degree bend. Note I have used the terminology "wartime" and "postwar", but it is quite possible that the taller top and 45-degree filling port could have even been a "late war" improvement for ease of manufacturing?

Default Postwar Filters

Update on the postwar filters. The attached sketches are from the 1954 handbook for the 200 gallon water tank. The filters are clearly quite different (and larger) than the picture Guy posted. For an idea of size, there is a picture of a postwar filter installed on a 100 gallon water trailer here (2nd posting, 3rd picture):

So, my working theory is that the one in Guy's picture is 'late WW2'. At least until someone can confirm otherwise.

Hi guys
Yesterday I was very happy with another new addition, during the further cleaning up of the old garage I found a runnig board that are mounted on the side of the tank. hopefully original parts will be added to the further cleaning up
