That would be a potato to our non-Australian friends. Amazing what a bit of starch can be used for - gold 'scrubbing', glass waterproofing...... even eating!
If you do take the electrical route, I threaded the wires for the wipers up through the re-created vacuum wiper tubing from inside the engine compartment, to each wiper. Kept them nice and neat and only the wiper motors looked out of place. You will need electrical wipers with long shafts, otherwise you'll need to remove the vacuum wiper mount brackets from the inside of the w/screen, which I would not recommended. On trips, I was caught in the rain more than once, and was happy that I'd gone to the dark side and fitted the electric ones. Mike Last edited by Mike Cecil; 30-10-18 at 16:01. |

Thanks for the input all.
Some really good points I made not of.. Keep the old Vac wipers, The Rain-X is a good idea ![]() I like the spud trick. did that years ago in a series 1 Land Rover. As to Tony's question. How often will you drive in the rain? (Good Point) TBH not often on purpose. However in SE Gippsland we get a fair bit of rain and not always forecast. Cheers ![]()
