My Mum served with the NAAFI in Algeria during the war. Their main base was at the Relief Camp at Surcouf, on the Med Coast, East of Algiers. They ran a number of remote operations from Surcouf at a number of other locations, which the NAAFI staff often rotated through. The location of that photo was one of them, at least for a while. Those tables might be NAAFI related equipment set up near their Canteen Tent. Just a thought. David
