all shaping up pretty well.

the roof is largely done now with a coat of putty put on to fill the minor imperfections. Sealant added along the gutters and it is ready to paint.
Then flipped onto its side for sealing up the floor and cross members.

Underside also sprayed with sound deadener and sealant. Makes life easy when you can put the body in the best position for spraying.

Looks great Jack. That was a lot of work to get the body to the condition its in now! Cant wait to see it back on the frame.

The body is now back on the chassis and the rotisserie removed and
rear doors fitted.

There is still a bit of work to do on the sides which can be done as Jake progresses with the drive train and interior fit out but he picked it up today and I have some shed space back.

I still have the front doors to tidy up. As expected they are not straight forward either.

Both front doors needed a large patch where they have rusted out on the bottomwhich is usually straight forward. The tricky bit was damage to the sheetmetal around the door latch where they had suffered from vibration cracks.
Fortunately Jake acquired a very good left hand door which had only a couple of small dents to fix. The right hand door had these severe cracks around the latch position. They cant be repaired so I cut the area out and made a small tool to press the indentations for the screws into a new piece. The brass ball is from a Tilly door hinge. Just the right size.
