Default Info on CFB Borden M38A1

Thanks Wayne & Rob,

I was incorrect to add the 1 in CDN in my original post....the actual description tag in front of the Jeep is "1950 Era, 1/4 Ton Standard Military Pattern, Dodge Jeep 4x4"......it is in fact an early M38A1 CDN...my issue was the word "Dodge Jeep" in the descripiption....I will now contact the person at the museum and send Wayne's description as "Truck Utility 1/4 Ton 4x4, M38A1 CDN Ford Motor Co. of Canada Ltd."

Also, the data plates on the museum M38A1 CDN were original and were not readable.....I tried to read it but could not. Also, I took many pictures that for some reason I cannot post here.

Thanks and regards,

lesk

9 out of 10 times, the photos are too large for the forum to accept. Reduce the size of them. There are guidelines from Hanno up at the top of the forum for what the max size can be. I'll usually move the photo to photo editor and reduce one side of the photo to 900 pixels, and the photo will then work.

Good luck correcting the museum. They probably know from other visitors like you that there is a mistake, but have other issues to fix before changing a label.

Here is a closer image with a bit or manipulation... Its definitely a "Dodge Jeep", or in french its a "Jeep Dodge".

Hi Rob.....with your suggestion I was able to finally post the picture of the Borden M38A1 CDN by resizing the jpegs via the pixel count through "paint" as you had suggested. Now, after all these months I am able to finally post some pictures of the 67' Jeep I have been working on with your help as well as others from MLU.

Thanks!

Very clean truck. What is with the double fuel filters though?

If you are after the proper "accordian" type air intake hose, I believe you can get them from Rod Shaver in the US. I bought a couple off ebay a few years back (and postage to Canada was very very cheap) and believe it was from him.
