The left hand pair are for the set and the right hand pair for the generator, so I expect they are intended for use with one or more of the 'Charging Switchboards' - probably to make it easy to demount the charging set and the radio from a vehicle without the need for spanners to undo the terminals on the charging switchboard that is permanently installed in the vehicle.
(Or possibly for vehicle installations that don't have a charging switchboard and rely on the operators swapping battery leads between Set and Charge terminals? I don't have much in the way of vehicle installation documents, I'm afraid.) Chris. |
