And originally sealed with a soldered lid with a ring pull that is pulled back like a sardine can. The sealing is very effective at eliminating moisture and it is still possible to find these sealed tins with WW2 and 1950's dated ammo that is in perfect condition inside.

Yes part of the man pack kit for the 122 set ( Aust.) would be late WW2 1945 .

The set has two mounts for the belt pins to slide in, often the belt mounts were removed or bodged because they get in the way of stuff if the set was a ground or vehicle station . I think I only ever had one unmolested set with the original belt fittings in situ.

Thanks Mike, yes, you are correct it is for the man pack part of the deal. Upon checking the belt fits perfectly to the 22 set and the water proof 22 set carry box. After seeing the ebay price I will have to crank up my price.

The zip-around canvas cover looks similar to the one for the SR B70 (or HP311) radio relay set, but it's impossible to tell from the lack of measurements. (Quite apart from the fact I don't have one of those sets to be able to measure it.)

More likely to be off some Australian kit, though.

A WW2 civilan gas mask NOS (Perfect Condition) still in its original box. Any idea of how rare this?

The story goes that it was the fellows mothers issued to her during the War.
