In post #3, it does not appear to be an International half track pulling the limber and 17 Pdr. Can anyone confirm?

Default Internationl halftrack

Looks like an International to me as the front mudguards are wrong for a White.

Good eye Chris. I was looking for the rounded rear corners. My old eyes could not make out if the front fenders were skirted or not.

Bruce, bringing this back to your question, I believe the sigs tac sign was common to all types of RCA regiments.

Default Sigs vehs tac signs

I'd go along with Bill. The RCA was pretty standardised on such matters although there is some variation in Ack-Ack markings. Ubique! Mike

Default HUW Arty Unit Sign

Bruce, just to slightly adjust your original idea for an A/T unit, how about this?

4 Fd Regt supported 2 Cdn Inf Div during the Normandy and NW Europe campaigns

The organization of 2 Div contained 4, 5 and 6 Bde.

One of 4 Bde's bns was the Royal Regiment of Canada.

How's that for a personal link to your HUW?

Usual rectangle, white over blue, with red 42 superimposed.

Well that would certainly do. I somewhat chose the 2nd CID for its connection with the glorious Royal Regiment of Canada anyway but picked the anti-tank regiment RCA because it's them and anti-aircraft regiments that the bible (CMP Vehicle Data Book) says used HUW radio vans. If I can confirm field regiments used them too I'm in!! Of course I could always go 2nd Div. RCCS.
