You now need two of these Colin to transport your pair of Vickers.

I believe that there is one being restored in the UK.

Regards Rick.

Is it a Retriever? If so, there is also one getting tidied up about 25 minutes away from me.

Lynn, it is an AEC/FWD R6T/850. The first ones were an FWD R6T with a Dorman 78 bhp engine and in 1929 AEC took over production and fitted an AEC 95 bhp engine . They were made until 1936. They had planetary gear final reduction in the wheel hubs and that is why there is the big hub caps shown.

Default Aec/fwd r6t/850

Colin, you would have these on the road in a few months at the rate of your restorations. Unfortunately they have disappeared from the REME Museum in the UK and no-one knows where they are at the moment.

Regards Rick.
I have been in contact with the curator at REME, they will get back to me (!!!!!) as they seem to have lost the details of who was going to restore them.
Been trying to find out where they went.
However the Duxford example has now been re-housed, and will be subject to a restoration. I am not at liberty to say where it is, but I have seen it and hope to get more info later.
Re the earlier photo, I am still after any details of the trailer behind the AEC. I believe it to be a 5 ton trailer, possibly Cranes, but have no other details other than one photo supplied by Les Freathy of one in what appears to be a farm yard. But I would like to have more technical info if possible.

George.
