The small hole Neil has referred to would be a drain hole (to let water out?)

Niels or Colins unit looks very original to me.

I would like to see the maker and TL part numbers on the tube and in the base before agreeing with Lynn.
It appears to have numbers in the base... are they stamped in or otherwise?
