The search continues and we may have a winner. I have recently moved house and a mate of mine happened to come around the other day and mention he had seen a SWB Blitz almost literally around the corner from where I'm living. I've inspected it and while it's been out in the weather, there doesn't seem to be any rust holes as such. For $600 the old bloke and I might have a deal. Engine is probably stuffed but will see how we go. If I do get it, I'll put up a proper thread.

Fast forward a couple of years and yes, I purchased "Rusty James" from the guy around the corner for all of $600. I had to clean out half a wheelie bin full of dirt, dust, rat poo, possibly chicken poo, a handful of complete ww2 303 bullets (the stamping dated correctly) and other bits and pieces thrown in the cab over the years. There was a lot of cleaning involved, but overall I'm fairly happy for the price I paid. The issue however, appears to be the chassis. It looks like it has been lengthened at some point in the distant past so our dear friends at the dept of transport are probably not going to be accommodating about it. What a saga

Well done Luke, two doors and a bumper make the $600 pretty good value. Hard to go wrong, have fun.
