Gentlemen,
I wish to thank you all from the bottom of my hear on the kind words you've all written regarding my father. He truly was one of a kind and the entire Canadian military community has lost a great contributor. Richard

As diverse and widespread as members of this forum are, we are a remarkably a like-minded bunch, and we recognise those shining lights who illuminate our various paths. There are many, known and unknown, who would be the lesser without the influence and knowledge that Clive has given us. We cannot know the depth of your loss, but rest assured that many share your sense of sadness at the passing of a unique man. ![]() ![]() |

Clive was a true gentleman and a pillar of the collecting and research community. It was an honour to work with him on a few projects and to call him a friend. From one ex-Guardsman to another - 'Civitas et Princeps Cura Nostra'.

Rest in Peace Clive, I can't imagine a better ambassador for those of us who enjoy this military vehicle pass time. Always there to assist where ever possible with advice, knowledge and encouragement. A true gentleman in every respect. You will be missed.

For Clive's Guestbook go to:
https://beechwood.permavita.com/site...lLaw.html?s=40 The Beechwood page does not show Sat the 17th yet (as I write Tues pm). Perry - your Sexton is not the only HMV that Clive facilitated. The Cold War Collection's CVRT has his fingerprints all over it. For all mobile Ottawa area Rusty Old Truckers - the National Military Cemetery is on the eastern end of the grounds. I have proposed that we muster our wheels on the side of the access road downhill from the NMC grounds. The area near the large monument is best left open for pedestrians. Timings - visitation is 0900 to 1000, so be early. Walk to the Chapel along the yellow painted line. Weather forecast (4 days out is) - hot and muggy with 70% POP and thunderstorms No indications yet for after action muster point. The New Edinburgh Pub has changed ownership so I can't offer any recommendations. Suspect there is a chance the Guards' will have something at Cartier Square Drill Hall. MTF

Rest In Peace Clive. I have enjoyed talking with you over the years and getting to read some of your publications. You will be badly missed in the military history community.
