Eric, its a Sentinel Wagon (UK) built MkII, 3 inch Mortar carrier, according to Nigel Watsons book.

Adrian, The British carriers weren't stamped in the front armour. The info was only on the gun metal plate riveted to the drivers front guard. The Canadians helped to preserve the info with theirs, by stamping into the armour (after the first 1000 or so)

This will be a late war carrier. It is similar to Petrs carrier, although his is not a Mortar.

Thanks for clarifying Ben and Lynn, I've only ever had a T-16 and a Windsor and they both had it.

At Corowa this year we had a Sentinel 3" Mortar Carrier there, going by the census number it is an earlier one. I also know of another Sentinel 3" Mortar Carrier in NSW, yet to be restored.

What is the most significant differences between a normal Carrier and a Mortar Carrier?
Lynn Eades, Don´t really understand what "control rod cover" is. Please post a Picture where you have marked out what you want me to take better Pictures of. Pictures have to wait at least a week, the carrier is very far from where I live. There are a couple of extras added on the carrier when it was used in the forrest.
I found a Picture of the carrier on a Facebook group last year and managed to get in contact with the photographer. From there I found the location and later the landowner who nearly did not know about it. I´ll try to use as many parts as possible on my drivable Carrier.
