Peter,
There are lots of these liberation pictures where there are so much people holding onto the vehicle, that you can basically only see the wheels and canvas! Rick, The original picture can be enlarged quite a bit; maybe that helps with the windscreen. Alex

Peter,
Hereby some photo's from XIIMD Lynx scoutcars. We see cars from 1st Troop, 5th Troop, 9th Troop, 12th Troop and 20th Troop. Look at the twin mount on 20th Troop car 204 (D-squadron) sporting both a .30 M1919A4 and a .50 HB machine gun. The .50 has been adapted and now has right hand feed. The Bren was used also as shown on the car from 5th Troop. Marco

Marco,
Great pictures! Just the type of pictures that I was hoping to see. The field modifications to increase storage with the use of ammunition boxes, gear on the engine deck, accident damage and the additional firepower. The 0.30 Browning seemed to be popular with the lads from Manitoba. Both versions of the Lynx also appear to be in use at the same time. Thanks again, Peter |

Guys,
Decided to focus by putting aside the more cosmetic portion of my restoration and concentrate on the engine and running gear. Progressing well. Now at the point with the engine compartment that when I drop a tool it doesn't always end up on the garage floor. Peter latest 011.jpg latest 012.jpg |

Guys,
I've posted Dave Good's video clip of the first engine run on the 239 that he rebuilt for my Lynx. While I might be a bit biased, it is one sweet sounding engine. If for some reason this link https://youtu.be/mpHUWWWILVI, does not work, a search on You Tube for "1944 Lynx" will lead you to it. Peter Last edited by Hanno Spoelstra; 06-03-17 at 09:09.
