From a US Army document called "Statistics-Procurement" published in 1952 the US made 30,545 WS48s and 28,995 hand generators.

That's the same as the two part batteries that Chris S. donated to my 11 set cause. I made the missing lids from a sheet of black Tufnell, what fun getting all the drilled holes in the right place.
Like you I was really chuffed to be able to complete my station with these final rare parts. ![]() |
