Here is a pic of the spacer, I also drilled and tapped the other side
but plgged it off. I smeared a tiny amount of "the Right Stuff" on the manifold gasket. Good seal The wiper arm and motor I think are original cmp or possibly jeep. I have good wiper motors and one more arm. Just need the blades I found this in an old drawer in the shop Looks 40's era, its just a glorified Vacuum gauge but still works, also includes instructions ha ha Terry |

I just found blades that will go on these arms.
They are called "hook and Saddle" blades. They are sold on ebay and elsewhere ...around 6 to 7 USD +shipping Cheers Terry |

Nice treasured vintage gauge.
A nice item that contains all the usage instructions..... it might be worthwhile trying to take a picture with less reflection on the glass so the face of the gauge can be read easier...... and post enlarged.........could be posted in the HOW TO heading........ certainly a common issue and tool that is not fully appreciated. Cheers

Hi Terry
My solution to wipers on my Pattern 12 is simple don't have them, but then again don't have a cab top mounted either. Love that 3 ton roadster, much quieter in the cab the noise just goes by your head once non-of-that sound be reflected back down by the roof. On the Pattern 13s use short wipers but they hardly ever are needed as I treat the glass both sides with Rain-X and it works so much better than the vacuum wiper ever did. Cheers Phil Will check the vacuum on the Pattern 13 on New Years Day when I have it out for a drive.

I've got my wiper motors rebuilt so I will at least plumb
them in. I will hook up some 7 " blades and see what happens. Out here on the prairies it doesn't rain that much so they will be mostly for looks. I will look for rainex though I'm now trying to get my original heat gauge to work, tommorrow I will take the sender out and remove all the teflon tape I wound around it Live and learn Cheers Terry |
