It doesn't strike me as a series of "action" photos. I don't know how long your Uncle served after hostilities ended but the sub could be U-190. The photos could be her on her tour or on her way to destruction. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/German_submarine_U-190 Poking around the inter-web, I see the sea state was worse when she surrendered but similar to your photos in others of her going off to be sunk. Maybe your Uncle was on an escorting ship? Have you thought about getting his records? They would tell you what ships he was on and when. regards Darrell |
