I blew it up more and took a closer look and it does look like a No 1 set.

Well, that's a Wireless Set No.1 all right.
Description is just below the watch holder and between the two hinges: Wireless Set No.1 Ser. No. 569 (I think) M.W.T.C. Ltd (Marconi Wireless Telegraph Company Limited) 1938 /|\ So British manufactured. Chris.
