Default I was expecting a book published in the `50s

Hi Mike and Rick

Thanks for the responses.

I was surprised to see that it was publish this year, Mike when you said "I spotted a recently published non-fiction book about a outback family during the 1930's to 40's." I was expecting something written in the 1950's with a recent reprint but apparently it is entirely new, for inquiring minds here is a link to a little more on the book http://trove.nla.gov.au/work/1990883...on=NBD55842715

Now will have to see if my retired librarian wife can find me a copy in the library system. Looks like the kind of read I enjoy.

Cheers Phil
