No, it's not a Volvo, it's a BA model Ford Falcon, locally designed and built.

We've had Volvos sold here at least since the 60s - we get most of the current range of passenger cars and soft roaders. You still see a number of 244 series here. We even had the awful V6 264.
I owned serval Volvos during the 80s - a 245, 240 and the DAF derived 360 - all reliable if a bit dull. My mother still has a 240.
We have Saabs and Scanias too.
