Looking at the gun pintle mount, I think at some stage during it's life since 1943 the guns saddle pintle had been removed before, as there is a other set of locking screw holes been drilled, perhaps when the guns left the Netherlands to the Israel army ?. It's most certainly been stripped before.

Kevin, yes its much more fun to have the original manuals.
I normally also try to find the original manuals, and then copy them so I can bring it to the work shop. we need pictures of the Aston Martin... ![]()
