I don't know what it reads, but I do know that "TYPE 1900" was the RAF designation for 5-cwt 4x4 cars. It was to be applied as "RAF TYPE 1900" on the nearside door in 3 inch, but the jeep not having doors the most convenient was to paint only "TYPE 1900" on either the scuttle or on the bonnet - see attached pic.
