Never heard of that modification in Canadian service, and my CFTOs go back to the 50s.

Canadian Forces Technical Orders - the definitive source for all things technical from Aircraft to Radios to Rifles to Vehicles. Don't know about ships, though.

Rob retired from the Forces as a maintenance supervisor - scrounger, information squirrel and all around knowledgeable guy. ($50 in the mail please ....)

You didn't mention that I was a Manitoban. We are amongst the cheapest in the world and can make a scotsman look like a philanthropist. We still tip (that's if we tip) in small coins, no bills or even loonies......the loss of the penny just about killed us, but we can now run the fuel pump to $20.02 and only have to pay $20.

So you think any Manitoban is going to pay you $50 for a bit of fluff?

What?? And possibly pay interest????

I remember a few years ago when I pumped $10.01 in gas. The lady behind the counter actually counted out $9.99 in change, rather than just writing off the penny. Well I have now got even several times over.
