Default Good pictures....

Hi JoaoBosco

Looks tired but very original.

The engine looks like an original 216 Chevrolet engine.

The picture of the shift levers.

The top one with the round knob and funny bent shaft is for the transfer case and probably only moves forward for low range and back for hi range.

The second lever is for the 4 speed tranny with the lock lever for the reverse.

The third lever is partially obscured but should move forward to engage the starter motor.

The fourth lever is very strange....... I beleive that is connected to the front axle and moving forward would engage the front axle....moving backward would dis-engage the front axle for 2 wheel drive. It has a lock lever on it which is not normal.

This set up is not original BUT if it works you may want to keep it for now.

Is the engine turning free or is it stuck solid????

When was the last time the engine ran or worked??

You have a lot of work ahead of you my brother/hermanos.

Bob C.

The lever closest to the seat is the emergency brake lever, that why it has release handle.
Most of the emergency brake is missing though, but an M135 drum and band will fit right on, for that application.
For the transfer shift tower on that truck, the lever would be to the left and back to disengage the front axle.
To the left and forward to engage the the front axle.
Lever across the front to the right and back takes it from high to low range.
Our truck has the winch so it's to the right half way back then to the right again and the all the back to engage the winch.
Normal driving position is to the left and back for two wheel drive.
Hope this makes sense.
Cheers Rob

Default The fourth lever is very strange

Bod,

Thanks.

The old owner disassemble the truck, then I think a same pieces is not more, but is 95% complete.

The fourth lever, I think, used to the Brake action but is incomplete.

The Motor: is disassembled and need restauration, but in Brasil have a lot this 216" motor, no problem.

At present I paint the truck of Brown, after I send new pictures.

I first restauration the body and after I restaure the mechanical.

Default The fourth lever is very strange

Rob,
Yes I think you is correct, the The fourth lever strange is for the emergency brake and other lever is change the two velocity transfer case and change the traction 4 x 4 and 4x2.

Bod I think the Rod is correct, because I see this in C-60 pictures.

Thanks for all answer my question and help me in restauration of the C-15A.

Default Measurements Needed

Hi Corey

As you have read in this thread the person we are trying to help is Joao, from Brazil.

Attached is the drawing he sent me showing what measurements he is looking for to see if he can have the wheels made locally.

Cheers Phil

PS- This is the first time I've tried posting a PDF so we will see how it works.
