Ireland retired it's 25 pdrs back around 2003. I think I read they maintain a ceremonial battery of 6. They were nice enough to ship us approx a ton of spare parts from their inventory.
While the smaller calibers like 25 pounder and 105 may be somewhat formiddable in the places the kurds fight at, in the modern battlefield there is very little place for anything below 155. They just don't have the range to participate in an exchange of fire. We pretty much have relegated them to ceremonial and training as well as knocking the snowbanks off the mountains (avalanche control). |
